Why It Came Home: we saw the most beautiful work by Fransden at a friends house. From then on have been obsessed but he is expensive and collectable now going into the tens of thousands of so we have had to search very hard almost every day to find anything that comes up at auction by him that is affordable. We lucked out here. This is one of two still lives painted on aluminium that are our stars. Big, bright and bold this one really packs a punch
